New Year, New You?

When coming into a new year, I always thought it was strange that people would wait until this time to set a new goal for themselves. Or to even better themselves. Why would you not constantly challenge yourself to be better everyday of every year? But I get it. Most people make some kind of resolution for the new year. Although, I feel like people only make these resolutions strictly because it is a new year and that is why so many people fall through on these false promises they make themselves because it is no genuine. Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are people who really think their resolutions out and accomplish them, but I think I am safe in saying that this is a small amount of the population. So why not challenge yourself all the time?
I sound like an asshole reading this in my head as I am typing it out, and I am an asshole because I myself made a resolution for 2020 LOL. Simply put, my goal is to break out of my own comfort zone. Whether it be trying new food, a new activity, or trying a new shirt color.
What better way to start this resolution with breaking out of my comfort zone and going on a cruise I would normally never go? Well, I don't think there could have been a better way. A group of mutual followers and friends from Instagram were posting about going on a cruise to Malibu at 6am on New Years Day. In the midst of NYE posts, I saw their flyer and decided I would try my best to make it as I had never cruised that far with them.

The plan was to meet up sometime before 7am and hopefully leave by 7am, but that wasn't the case today... Although nobody really seemed to mind. It was all good vibes as we were waiting to leave.

Chatting...

A pair of Si's.

Cory's (@dc4_cory) EF wagon. I love this thing. It just looks so cool...

Another angle.

Eddie's (@tsx_eddie) TSX looking good on his new set of wheels.

Ant (@ant_thiccness) pulling up...

All the homiez.

We rolled out around 8am. We all kind of got scattered so we met up at a gas station somewhere in Malibu.

Cory's wagon and Miguel's (@notbaybay) CRV looking good...

Good vibes all around...

Another shot of Eddie's TSX...

Back on the road to our destination: Neptune's Net.
Going on this cruise down PCH, I really felt at peace. I felt like I was thinking clearer than I ever have before. It was a good time to reflect on 2019 and the years before, and to imagine the possibilities my future might hold. It was nice. Just me, my music, and this gorgeous view...

We got to Neptune's Net around 9am.

My busted coupe.

Another shot of Cory's wagon because I just can't get enough of it..

There was a few cars in the lot of Neptune's Net, including this EF built by @greddykenji ...

It was almost strange to see it in person and up close like this. Beautiful car to say the least.

Parked next to it was a red CRX Si and this great looking EG. Unfortunately I forgot to get pictures of the red Si...
We hung out for a while and moved our cars to the parking lot of Neptune's. We watched cars roll by from classic Porsche's, new Porsche's, Ferrari's, Classics, and just anything that had at least 2 wheels and an engine really. It was a great day to be out and I'm glad I came out to cruise myself.
I hope you all have a great 2020. Until next time.
