I Guess So.

Well, I hate to say it but I guess this year did bring a new me. See, usually I'll do car shit for a day or two and my car will be parked again for another six months. In the last 2 days, I think I drove it more than I did for the whole year of 2019. That's sad, lol.
Nonetheless, I guess a new me is a good thing because my car, and cars in general, are what really get my heart going and my brain working. It's the whole reason I started this blog really.
This day was a new day. I had planned a shoot with my brother Andrew and Eddie a little over a week ago. We were supposed to go this last Sunday, but I came down with the worst cold I've had in years. I'm still sick but much better than I was. We didn't really go into this day with much of a plan. We had agreed to meet up at 3:30 and we were gonna go to Meyers St. in Los Angeles. Well... that was a bust because we hadn't taken that famous LA rush hour into consideration. Fuck. Now where to go? We met up at my brother Eddie's house to wash our cars since he has a power washer and a shit load of detailing supplies since that's what he does on his free time.

Enjoyed some sparkling water while I was at it...

Soapy soapy.

I never make the effort to wash my rims all the way and I know I'm going to regret it someday...
We still hadn't decided where to go. I suggested we go somewhere out east so we can all get home at a decent time. We thought for a little and landed on Bonelli Park in San Dimas.

I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, so this arrangement for our 3 cars made the most sense to me.

Sandwich.

My brother Andrew's sedan and my brother Eddie's (@djfaze626) coupe...

This is Eddie's daily driver. It has a fully rebuilt single cam for reliability and features some Tru Hart coilovers for comfort. The Spun wheels give it a nice look and the BYS-ish lip adds character. He originally bought this car to flip it, but when no one jumped on the deal, he kept it.

The only other arrangement that was logical to me...

The sky was really golden at this time and it made for a nice backdrop.

Just before the sun set behind the hills surrounding Bonelli Park...

Love this color.

Just 2 daily's...

And then there's me. My I-don't-know-what car.
After we got the shots we wanted, we kinda just hung out. We were going to leave once the sun had set behind the hills and took all of our light, but Eddie suggested we wait to see if the sky was going to turn red as it did the day before. And boy, was it worth the wait...

I just snapped away but this shot was my favorite. The silhouette of the hills surrounding the park gave it a mysterious feel.

I shot this as we were getting ready to pull away. I'm really impressed with the new camera I picked up. This was shot at 6400 ISO and doesn't have too much noise...

We headed to Red Robin in San Dimas, which was just a short drive away from the park.

And we ended our day with some burgers. Not a bad way to end the day.
I hope you guys enjoy your weekend coming up. I'm kind of dreading it. The company I work for shuts down for 2 weeks at the end of each year so I've been off of work since December 23rd. I'm ready, but not ready to go back to work, ya know?
Until next time.
