For a long time, I have thought about creating some sort of blog. Never knew what, but just somewhere to express my thoughts. I used to be on tumblr, but it is so saturated with porn that it's just not for me. Don't get me wrong, porn is cool. Everyone watches porn (I think) but I don't wanna see it when I open my phone in public, ya know?
So here I am. This only made sense since I'm a photographer and a big car guy, so why not start an automotive blog? I'm also a decent writer and have some sort of sense of humor so there's that.
I don't think I have a goal with this blog other than to share peoples cars, and the people themselves. This has been a thought of mine for 2-3 years but was always afraid to feel like I was doing what everyone else is doing. Then I realized that most people today vlog and people rarely read or write anymore. So in a sense, I am not doing what everyone else is doing.
This is my first post, so bare with me.
I really just grew some balls today and decided to start this shit, so here we go. My first feature is my brother, Andrew. He's in his mid 20's and has been modding cars for most of his life. His first car at 15 was a 1990 Honda Accord. Fun fact, he purchased it for $50 because the owner couldn't get it started and he just wanted it out of his yard. Turned out to be a fuse and he drove it home.
His second car was a 1991 Honda Civic LX sedan. That thing ripped, and I have many fond memories in that car. After that, he owned a 2013 Honda Civic that was slammed to the floor and as his family grew, he purchased a 2016 Accord. Things settled down, and cars seemed to be on the back burner for him. But I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw him in another slammed Honda.

Andrew recently acquired this 99' Civic as a daily and he couldn't leave it alone for long.

He quickly made it his own with a set of the ever-so popular EM1 Si wheels wrapped in a nice size tire suitable for daily driving.

He also spent his second part of his Christmas day installing his new coilovers. This isn't even the lowest setting...

I actually rolled the fenders on this thing the morning of the shoot...

Andrew actually purchased this car from a body shop that was going out of business for less than $500. The car had been in a front end accident and the original owner gave up on it, so it was kind of just sitting in this guys shop. The repair work was all done, but the owner never repainted the front end. He gave my brother enough paint so he can finish it himself, and that is exactly what Andrew did in our backyard a few weeks later. It's not perfect, but she looks good...

He quickly transformed the outside of the car but the inside is relatively simple. It has creature comforts like AC and a radio. The interior features a Personal steering wheel, for security. Other than the wheel, the interior is great original condition.

Of course, an aftermarket head unit and a system good enough to hear down the block...

What I've always admired about my brother Andrew is his willingness to get things done. He's always built his cars to his taste and never what the latest trend is.
That's all I've got. Enjoy a few extra photos from our shoot.
If you know anyone that wants a feature, please contact me.
